At the end of February the gutters on the range building were replaced by The Gutter & Cladding Company of Christchurch. The old gutters had largely disintegrated, and this was contributing to areas of water ingress where water pooled on the concrete base. Hopefully the new deep flow gutters will effciently channel all rainfall away from the building.
Work has continues to clear the gap between the range and the allotments, and remove the soil that has risen up onto the concrete base. We hope that this, with the guttering, will stop all water ingress, and discourage some of the ants!
