The club holds a number of competitons for its members.
Club Champion is awarded annually to the shooter with the best average over 3 out of 4 competitions – Dorset Summer league, Club John Harvey Trophy, Dorset Winter league and Hampshire Winter league. The winner is awarded the championship trophy and both the winner and runner up are awarded momentoes that may be kept.
John Harvey Memorial Trophy is awarded to the shooter with the highest points gained in the club internal Macrae handicap competition.
The Macrae scoring system helps shooters with a low average compete with higher average shooters.
The Charlie Croucher Spoon is a light hearted ‘wooden spoon’ award to the shooter with the lowest points gained in the John Harvey Memorial Trophy competition. The winner is also awarded with a box of ammunition.
Best Improved Average is awarded to the shooter who has the highest increase of their average over the four Club Champion competitions.
100s spoons Presentation spoons are given to any shooter who has shot at least one 100 during the season.
